Joy Durrence

.Joy Waters Durrence, 64, passed away Sunday, August 5, 2016 at Ogeechee Area Hospice Inpatient Center in Statesboro, Georgia. She was born at Jelks Clinic in Reidsville, Georgia on Septemeber 28, 1953 to Syrell and Martha Kate Waters and lived in Glennville, Georgia all of her life. Joy was a K-4 teacher and a bus driver many years and also a para pro at GES working with special education. She was a loving wife, mama, nana, sister and aunt. She loved to attend her children and grandchildren's extracurricular activities from the ball field to the dance stage. Joy was a member of the Glennville First Baptist Church and is preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 pm, Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be 11:00 am, August 8, 2018 at Glennville First Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Glennville City Cemetery.
