Joyce S. Padgett 68, passed away Thursday, October 8, 2020 at East Georgia Regional Medical Center in Statesboro. She was born November 26, 1951 to Doy Padgett and Alma Martin Padgett and lived in this area most of her life. She was a 1969 Graduate of Glennville High School and employed in the textile industry, with flash foods as a clerk for many years and a homemaker. She loved to sit on her porch outdoors visit with neighbors and friends. She loved to spend time with her family, children, grandchildren and work word games. She was a member of Pineview Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, siblings, Joann Thompson, Edwin Padgett, Jerry Padgett.

She is survived by,

Children, Rachel Mann of Glennville, GA

Ashley Padgett (Valerie) of Statesboro, GA

Sisters, Jacquline Oliver of Vidalia, GA

Gloria Major of Lyons, GA

Brother, Johnny Padgett of Eden, GA

Grandchildren, Brandon Powell, Brittany Powell, Chelsey Powell, Madison Padgett, Hudson Padgett, Emory Padgett, Faith Kersey and Caleb Mullins,  Seven Great Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive.

And her K-9 Companion, Gabby

Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm, Monday October 12, 2020 at Brannen Kennedy Funeral. Funeral Services will follow at 2:00 pm, in the Chapel of Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home. Burial will be in Pineview Baptist Church Cemetery.

Due to COVID-19, social distancing guidelines of six feet will be enforced. Masks are not required but are recommended.
