Kathrine C. Thompson, 89, passed away, Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born in Lumpkin, Georgia July 20, 1930 to Ernest and Laura Hill Chatham and lived in this area most of her life. She was a homemaker, loving, caring wife, mother , grandmother and great grandmother. She was a member of Jones Creek Baptist Church and attended Watermelon Creek Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Brenda O’Neal, brothers, Ernest Chatham, Joe Chatham, Clyde Chatham, Tommy Chatham, sisters, Ruby Spriggs, Shelby Daniel and Margaret Bradshaw. Followed in death by, her husband, Joe Thompson.

She is survived by:

Daughters, Sheila Brewton of Glennville, GA

Mary Smiley of Hinesville, GA

Sisters, Eveline Smith Bradshaw, of Camilla, GA

Elizabeth Broadwater of Phoenix City, AL

Four Grandchildren, Five Great Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive.

Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm, Saturday, November 16, 2019 at Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 2:30 pm, Saturday at the Chapel of Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Miller officiating.  Burial will be in Glennville Memorial Gardens.
