Lavonia Durrence

Mrs. Lavonia Durrence of Mendes, Georgia, 85, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Monday, September 3, 2018 after a brief illness. She was born in Reidsville, GA January 24, 1933, to Donnie and Evelyn Standard Stanfield and lived in Tattnall County all of her life. She was a homemaker, enjoyed spending time with family, fishing, and riding in the truck with her husband, Everette on their farm. She was employed as a medical courier for several hospitals in surrounding counties for over 20 years. She was member of Harmony United Methodist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Everette Durrence, son in-law, David Raulerson, sisters, Vera Kickligher and husband Adgar, Adeane Durrence and husband Edsel, a sister in-law, Dellane Martin.
She is survived by her daughters; LaMyra Raulerson of Mendes, GA and Melanie Collum (Oscar) of Richmond Hill, GA; brothers in-law, Stoy Martin (Judy) and Billy J. Durrence (Joyce) all of Glennville, GA; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Family will receive friends beginning at 11:00 am, Thursday September 6, 2018, at Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 12:00 noon at the Chapel of Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home with Reverend Jim Morrow officiating. Burial will be in Harmony Church Cemetery.
