Leroy Johnson, Jr., 72, passed away peacefully on January 7, 2024, at Memorial Health University Medical Center. He was born on August 17, 1951, in Miami, Florida. Leroy was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Leroy had a successful career as a truck driver and was known for his strong work ethic and unwavering commitment to his profession. 

Outside of his career, Leroy enjoyed several hobbies and interests. He had a passion for assembling model trucks and took great pride in his collection. Watching westerns brought him joy and fishing.  Among Leroy's proudest accomplishments was his coin collection. He always loved the adventure of finding a new collectible coin.

Leroy is preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Bobbie Johnson of Glennville, Georgia

Children: Melissa Hurst of Jesup, Georgia; James Johnson of Glennville, Georgia

Grandsons: Alex, Andrew, and Ryan Hurst

In addition to his immediate family, Leroy had a special bond with his nephew John Mock (Barbie) of Glennville, Georgia. He also held a special place in his heart for his great niece and nephew, Emily Gallegos and Chris Mock. 

Visitation will begin at 2:00 pm, Thursday, January 11, 2024 at Brannen Family Funeral Services. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 pm, Thursday, January 11, 2024 at Pigott Branch Baptist Church.

Care and services are entrusted to Brannen Family Funeral Services, Glennville, Georgia. "Our Family Serving Your Family."
