Linda Watson Baxter

Linda Watson Baxter, 63, passed away on September 8, 2026, at St. Joseph/Candler Hospital in Savannah, Georgia. She was born on October 7, 1962, in Claxton, Georgia to Herman and Doris Strickland Watson and lived here all of her life.

Linda will be remembered as a loving Mimi with a heart of gold. She retired from the State of Georgia and took great pride in the family she loved so deeply. Her life was filled with the simple joys that meant the most to her: birdwatching, going out to eat, taking and sharing pictures, playing cards, working puzzles, taking cruises, and enjoying girl weekends with her sisters. More than anything, she cherished spending time with her family.

She also treasured the special memory of spending Sundays with her best friend and sister-in-love, a time of companionship and closeness that remained dear to her heart. After her health declined and she moved into the Griffin House, she continued to find enjoyment in daily life through bingo, puzzles, and activities shared with the other residents.

Linda’s family was her proudest accomplishment, and the love she gave so freely will remain a lasting gift to all who knew her. She will be remembered for her warmth, her kind spirit, and the joy she found in being with the people she loved. Linda was a member of Little Rock Baptist Church.

Linda is preceded in death by her parents; stepfather, Julian Foster; sister, Glenda Hinson; brothers, Wendell Watson, Danny Watson and companion, Bobby Baxter.

Visitation will begin at 2:00 pm, Saturday, September 12, 2026, at Brannen Family Funeral Services. Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 pm, Saturday, September 12, 2026, at the chapel of Brannen Family Funeral Services. Burial will follow in Little Rock Baptist Church Cemetery.
