Linda Grace Kicklighter

Linda Grace Kicklighter, 84, passed away on May 10, 2025, at Brown Health & Rehab in Statesboro, Georgia. She was born on December 26, 1940, in Glennville, Georgia to Luther Harold and Julia Ann Griner Kicklighter and lived here all of her life.

Linda had a career as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at Glenvue Nursing Home and was also employed with Georgia Pacific Lumber Yard. She had a profound love for nature and enjoyed spending time outdoors, often indulging in her passion for fishing. Additionally, Linda was an avid reader and had a keen interest in genealogy, tracing her roots and uncovering the stories of her ancestors. Her culinary skills were equally impressive; she found great joy in cooking and baking for family and friends.

Her fascination with history, particularly Civil War history, reflected her curiosity about the past and her desire to understand the world around her. As an avid gardener, she delighted in cultivating her plants, especially elephant ears.

She is preceded in death by her parents, sister, Annette Oglesby and a son, Richard Wayne Kicklighter.

Daughter, Brenda Kicklighter Becker of Dayton, Ohio

Sister, Marjorie Wedincamp of Glennville, Georgia

Grandchildren, Joseph Kicklighter, Kendra Kicklighter, Julie Ann Kicklighter, Madison Becker

Several nieces and nephews also survive.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, May 15, 2025, at Beards Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
