Lucy Parmenter

Lucy Stubbs Parmenter, 96, passed away Monday, December 7, 2015 at Glenvue Health and Rehab. She was born January 14, 1919 in Glennville to Hilton and Nina Futch Stubbs. She had lived in Jacksonville for 45 years before moving back to Glennville in 1981. She was employed with Gay Construction Company as their bookkeeper for many years. She was a member of Beards Creek Primitive Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Parmenter, her parents and several brothers and sisters.
She is survived by:
Nieces: Brenda (Jimmy) Haire of Claxton
Becky Burkhalter of Claxton
Special Niece: Dinah Wasson and several other nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 am, Thursday, December 10, 2015 at Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 am in the chapel of Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home WITH Elder David Summerford and Elder Jimmy Haire officiating. Burial will be in Beards Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
