Mack Merrell Kennedy Jr

Mack Merrell Kennedy Jr., affectionately known as "Rusty," ,70, passed away on December 15, 2025, at Optim Medical Center in Reidsville, Georgia. Rusty was born on January 7, 1955, in Glennville, Georgia, to Merrell and Peggy Clark Kennedy and lived here most of his life.

Rusty dedicated his professional life to the trade of insulation installer, working diligently as part of the Union. He enjoyed working with his hands installing flooring for many years. Rusty was also employed with the Hospitality Group in Athens, where he served as a maintenance supervisor for many hotels.

Outside of his career, Rusty's passions extended to his love for football, particularly cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs. Additionally, Rusty had a great fondness for shooting pool, where he often shared laughter and friendly competition with friends and family. Most importantly, he treasured the time spent with his nieces and nephews, creating lasting memories and nurturing the bonds that brought joy to his life.

He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Joey Kennedy.

Rusty is survived by, his K-9 Companion, Buddy, Brother, Burke Kennedy (Susan), Sisters, Melanie Dasher (Gary), Kimberly Hough all of Glennville, Georgia. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm, Friday, December 19, 2025 at Brannen Family Funeral Services. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, December 19, 2025 at the chapel of Brannen Family Funeral Services. Burial will follow in the Glennville City Cemetery.
