Margaret Helen Dasher, 83, passed away on November 13, 2023, at her residence in Glennville, Georgia under the care of Gentiva Hospice. She was born on July 11, 1940, in Holder, Florida. Margaret was a cherished and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to many.
Margaret had a deep love for her family and dedicated her life to creating a loving and nurturing home. As a homemaker, she poured her heart and soul into making sure her family was cared for and loved. Margaret's presence brought joy and comfort to all who entered her home.
In addition to her role as a homemaker, Margaret's captivating storytelling skills brought laughter and happiness to those around her. Margaret had a natural talent for making people laugh. She believed that laughter was the best medicine.
Always ready to lend a helping hand, Margaret went above and beyond for others. Her selflessness was evident in the way she always put the needs of others before her own.
Margaret's hobbies reflected her love for nature and the outdoors. She enjoyed fishing and gardening. She took great pride in nurturing vibrant blooms and lush greenery in her yards.
One of Margaret's proudest accomplishments was her unwavering commitment to her church, Ebenezer Free Will Baptist Church. She served as a children's Sunday School teacher for many years, positively impacting the lives of numerous young minds.
Margaret is preceded in death by her parents, husband Dan Dasher, daughter, Charlotte Lynn Gillman, siblings, Thomas, Edna, Norman, Grover and Wesley.
She is survived by:
Daughter, Elizabeth Gillman Archer of Seffner, Florida
Sister, Irma Sellers (Greg) of Kingsland, Georgia
Grandchildren, David Mock, Angela Ready, Erica Collins, Nicholas Gillman, Sabrina Archer
Twelve great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, Louis Crawford, Jeanne Danley, Pauline Reaves, Tonya Hayes and Trina Gibson also survive.
Visitation will begin at 2:00 pm, Sunday, November 19, 2023 at Brannen Family Funeral Services. Funeral Services will follow at 3:00 pm, at the chapel of Brannen Family Funeral Services with Dr. Rick Cason officiating. Burial will be in Glennville City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers remembrances may be made to the Gideons.
