Margaret E. Joseph, 86, passed away Monday, February 8, 2021 at East Georgia Regional Medical Center in Statesboro. She was born in Glennville, Georgia on October 22, 1934 to Homer and Alta Williams Ray and lived here most of her life. Margaret was employed with Farm Bureau for many years receiving Secretary of the Year for all her hard work and accomplishments. She was also the office manager and a realtor with Kicklighter Reality for the last 25 years. Margaret was a member of the Glennville Garden Club for several years and was an avid gardener. She loved to dance in her younger years and always enjoyed a girls shopping day. She was a crafty person that could do or build anything but she was better known as “Meme”. Meme enjoyed sewing and would alter all of her granddaughter, Tiffany’s pageant dresses. Her latest accomplishment and hobby was learning how to browse the internet. She loved spending time with her family and her 5 cats, especially her twin great grandsons and was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Margaret was a member of Glennville First Baptist Church is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gillie Joseph and a sister, Quinda Jones.

She is survived by:

Daughters, Gloria Clifton of Aliey, Georgia
Darla Kicklighter of Glennville, Georgia

Sister, Karen Dunkin of Atlanta, Georgia

Grandchildren, Candice Ashley (Ken), Derek Clifton (Michelle),
Tiffany K. Sittle (Ashley) and Clay Clifton (Morgan)

Great-Grandchildren, Cole, Clay, Chi and Lanier Sittle and Reid Clifton

Visitation will be held at 10:00 am, Wednesday, February 10, 2021at Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at the chapel of Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Harmony United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Social distancing of six feet due to Covid 19 will be enforced and masks are asked to be worn on all services.

Care and services are entrusted to Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home of Glennville, Georgia.
