Marie Wilson

Marie B. Wilson, 88, passed away peacefully Friday, November 5, 2021 at her residence under the care of Ogeechee Area Hospice and surrounded by her family. She was born April 1, 1933 in Cobbtown, Georgia to Ira Dillon and Gertie Turner Boyette and was a homemaker. Marie spent many years in Alaska until moving back to Reidsville in 1993 to be with her family. She loved to be outdoors, fish, camp, make crafts, use her zero turn lawn mower and rock on her front porch. Marie loved her children and grandchildren and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of Pineview Baptist Church and is preceded in death by her parents, husbands, Billy Richard Bland Sr, Pelzer “Junior Wilson, siblings, Ruel Dillon Boyette, Carl B. Boyette, Rufus Rogers, Lucille Flanagan, Melba Kennedy and Flora Wilson

She is survived by:

Children, Richard Bland (Sherry)
Larry Bland (Donna)
Cindy Shuman (John)
Glenda Monfils (Mark)
Denise Flowers (Matt) all of Reidsville, Georgia

Step-son, Arthur Wilson (Debra) of Anchorage, Alaska

Siblings, Lavern Bradley of Reidsville, Georgia
Noah Boyette of Soperton, Georgia

Brother-in-law, Joey Wilson of Savannah, Georgia

Twelve grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive.

Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 pm, Sunday, November 7, 2021 at Pineview Baptist Church. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm, Monday, November 8, 2021 at Pineview Baptist Church with Rev. Gregg Usry officiating. Burial will be private at a later date.
