Mary Eunice Blocker DuRose, 70, passed away, Saturday, September 4, 2010 at Candler Hospital in Savannah. Eunice was born September 1, 1940 in Long County, Georgia to Vernon and Hattie Johnson Blocker. She was retired from Civil Service at Ft. Stewart and a homemaker and was a member of Stoney Hill Free Will Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Buddy Blocker, Sisters, Vera Dunham and Grace Mitchum.
She is survived by,
Husband, D.J.(Jack) DuRose of Glennville
Children, Tammy D. (Tommy) Rogers
Debbie D. (Dean) Bland all of Glennville
Sisters, Myrtle Lee Futch and Jean Gumm both of Glennville
Grandchildren, Travis & Kristin Rogers, Denine & Greg Durrence, Dena & Matt Smith, Tiffany Rogers & James Alexander, Step Grandson, Chase McCloud
Great Grandson, Gage Durrence, special friend, Kelly Potter
Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation will begin at 6:00 P.M. Monday, September 6, 2010 at Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held, 3:00 P.M, Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at the Chapel of Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home. Burial will be in Glennville City Cemetery.
