Mary Hilton

.Mary Howard Hilton, 86, passed away Tuesday, January 30, 2018 surrounded by her family and under the care of Bethany Hospice. She was born August 14, 1931 in Long, County, Georgia to Jacob Wallace and Janie Bacon Howard. Mary was a 1948 graduate of Long County High School where she was the class salutatorian and an avid basketball player. She married Theron Samuel Hilton and was a loving, caring, wife, mother and grandmother. She was a homemaker and loved supporting her three boys. Mary enjoyed gathering and tending her vegetable garden, attending class reunions, arts & crafts and county music festivals. She was a member of Ebenezer Free Will Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Theron Hilton; brothers, Rev. Jake Howard, Hughland Howard; sister, Ola Dean Stubbs and a grandson, Jason S. Hilton.

She is survived by:

Kerry D. Hilton (Elizabeth) of Senoia, Georgia
Grant M. Hilton (Jill) of Braselton, Georgia

Sisters, Charlene Rahn (Keith) of Hinesville, Georgia
Sherry Rowe of Glennville, Georgia

Grandchildren, Lauren I. Hilton, Van Rowe (Shannon), Valarie Ward (Stephen)
Great-Grandchilren, Carlyn Hilton, Jack Rowe, Olivia Rowe, Emily Ward, Tyler Ward
and Wesley Ward

Several Nieces, Nephews and other relatives also survive.

Visitation will begin at 12:00 pm, Friday, February 2, 2018 at Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 2:00 pm at the Chapel of Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home with Rev. Kenny Edwards officating. Burial will be in the Ebenezer Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery.
