Mary Turner

May 18, 1938 — November 11, 2022

Evelyn Turner, 84, went to her Heavenly Home on Friday, November 11, 2022 surrounded by her family. She was born May 18, 1938 to Rufus and Bessie Mae Dees Easterling and lived in Evans and Tattnall counties all of her life. Those who knew Evelyn knew she loved her family and that she was a loving and caring person. She enjoyed helping others and enjoyed being a home caregiver for twelve plus years. She was a member of Harmony Church and one of her many loves was her church family. She loved and enjoyed family nights when she was given the opportunity to cook. Evelyn had a passion for cooking birthday cakes, catering weddings and was known for her famous fruitcakes. She had a love for quilting, sewing and shopping when time permitted. She was an avid fan of the Atlanta Braves, Georgia Bulldogs and wrestling. Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, the love of her life, her husband, Revis Turner, son, Jimmy Marcum, daughter, Susie Marcum, grandsons, Andrew Waters, Mark Cowart and four sisters.

Left to treasure her memories are her daughters: Brenda Waters, of Glennville, Polly Cowart (Enoch) of Reidsville, DeAnn Odom (Ronald) of Lyons. Grandchildren, Don Cowart (Nancy), Eric Cowart (Tracy), Great- Grandchildren, Matthew Dalton Waters, Ashley Pittman (Andrew), Ashton Cowart, Great- Great Grandchildren,  Braelynn, Emerson and McKenna Pittman, Sister, Martha Colson. Several Nieces, Nephews and other relatives and friends also survive.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 A.M. Monday, November 14, 2022 at Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, November 14, 2022 from the Chapel of Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home with Bro. Scott Rogers officiating. Burial will follow in Harmony Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers: Eric Cowart, Don Cowart, Wendell Colson, Joe Blocker, Frankie Vadala, Josh Gamblin

Care and Services are entrusted to Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home of Glennville.
