Melba Kicklighter

Melba Kicklighter, 98, passed away Friday, January 27, 2017 at Glenvue Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Glennville July 27, 1918 to Asberry and Retta Bacon Kicklighter and lived in Glennville all of her life. She was employed at Thain's 5 & 10 in Glennville for many years and a homemaker. She was a loving caring mother, grandmother, great - grandmother and a long time member of Beards Creek Primitive Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by, husband, Herman Kicklighter, daughter, May Jo Thrift, sons, Wayne Kicklighter and William Kicklighter.
She is survived by, Grandchildren, Lisa (James) Waters of Glennville, GA
Stacia Hall of Glennville, GA
Kenny Thrift of Riceboro, GA
Great Grandchildren, Daniel Waters and Braylen Hall several nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm, Monday, January 30, 2017 at Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 2:00 pm, at the Chapel of Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home. Burial will be in Beards Creek Church Cemetery.
