Mellie Ruth “Ruthie” Moody Anderson, 55, passed away Thursday, April 30, 2020 at Meadows Regional Medical Center in Vidalia. She was born April 19, 1965 and lived in Glennville most of her life. She was a Graduate of Glennville High School and retired from Georgia Department of Corrections at Smith State Prison. Ruthie never met a stranger, she had a contagious laugh that would make anyone like her. She was a loving, caring person with a big heart that would help anyone and loved to cook for her family. She was involved with many organizations and projects in the community and loved children. She was a member of Glennville First Christian Church and attended Glennville First United Pentecostal Church.

Children, Lavender McClanahan (Kevin Bacon) of Collins, GA

Bridgett Morgan (Ray) of Collins, GA

Siblings, Valerie Vadala of Glennville, GA

Greg Hughes (Merle) of Ludowici, GA

Patrick Brad Dubberly (Terri) of Maryland

Nancy Ann Neisler Rainwater (Rick) of Bedford, Texas

Four Grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Due to the Covid 19 restrictions a Celebration of Life for Ruthie will be held at a future date.
