Monceil Blocker Jackson, 90, passed away Sunday, March 12, 2023 at Mission Oaks Assisted Living in Oxford Florida. She was born July 2, 1932 to James and Vynona DeLoach Blocker and lived in this area most of her life. Monceil graduated from Ludowici High School in 1949 and was a graduate of Draughon’s Business College. She met and married her husband Eugene T. Jackson while he was serving in the U.S Marines, September 29, 1951 and they were married for 61 years. They lived in various cities while in the Marine Corps and she enjoyed being a wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and homemaker. After Eugene retired from the Marine Corps, with 22 years of service, they returned to Long County and bought a home in the country. Monceil was a member of Little Rock Baptist Church and preceded in death by, husband, Eugene T, Jackson, parents, son-in-law, Lee Johns, brothers, Garnold Blocker, Harold Blocker and his wife, Mildred, sisters, Clara Driggers, and her husband, Larry, Carrie Jane Blocker and Sallie Jean Blocker.

She is survived by her children, Nancy Briscoe and husband, James, Cathy Roberts and husband, Brian, Joe Jackson and wife, Denise.

Eight Grandchildren, Six Great-Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive.

Visitation will be from 6 until 8 pm, Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 pm, Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at Little Rock Baptist Church with Rev. Bryan Anderson and Rev. Robert Long officiating. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Pigott Branch Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers: Buckshot Reddish, Bobby Blocker, Gerald Blocker, Ernie Cowart
