Mr. George Peacock

Mr. George Peacock, 82, of Collins passed away Sunday morning, August 30, 2020 at his residence under the care of Community Hospice and surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Peacock was born on July 25, 1938 to Mr. Marvin Clarence and Mrs. Jewel Bryd Peacock in Pierce County. The Pierce County Native moved to this area in 1995 and was formerly employed with Pierce Timber Company along with numerous stockyards in the local area. He was famously known for his cow catching abilities and enjoyed riding, cutting horses. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Marvin Clarence Peacock, Jr. “Bud” and a nephew, Ritchie Peacock.

He is survived by:

Significant Other for 25 years, Agnes J. Anderson of Collins

Brother, Joe Peacock (Glenda) of Mershon, GA

Nieces and Nephews, Melanie Yeomans (Brian Turner), Mike Peacock (Tracy), Chandra Tyre (Terry)

Great-Nieces and Nephews, Tiffany Tyre, Garrett Tyre, and Dusti Gill.

The family will receive friends beginning at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at the funeral home. Funeral services will be conducted at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at the Chapel of Kennedy-Brannen Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Kimbrell officiating with Rev. David Lamm assisting. Burial will be private at a later date. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic all CDC social distancing guidelines of six feet will be enforced at the funeral home, masks are not required but recommended.

Kennedy-Brannen Funeral Home of Metter is in charge of arrangements.
