Mrs. Sarita Warren

Mrs. Sarita Southard Warren, 74, of Metter, passed away Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at Augusta University Medical Center in Augusta. She was born on August 17, 1946 to Mr. Claude Southard, Sr. and Mrs. Glady Mobley Southard in St. Petersburg, Florida and moved to Metter in March of 1975. She retired from Georgia Southern University as a Senior Secretary after many years of loyal service. She was a member of Cedar Street Baptist Church and in her spare time she enjoyed reading, cross stitching and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a loving caring, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Wayne Warren and brothers, Claude Southard, Jr., and Bryson Southard.

She is survived by:

Melissa Sellers (Brandon) of Statesboro, GA

Brother: Emery Southard (Liz) of Nashville, TN

Sisters-in-law: Gail Southard of Anderson, SC

Annette Bazemore of Metter, GA

Brother-in-law: James Earl Warren of Metter, GA

Grandchildren: Tanner Lanier (Alicia), Braeden Sellers and Mason Sellers

Great-Grandchildren: Lexi Lanier, Wes Lanier, Mason Johnson and Clay Johnson

Several nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.

Visitation will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 21, 2021 at Kennedy-Brannen Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, February 21, 2021 at the chapel of Kennedy-Brannen Funeral Home. The service will be live streamed and can be viewed on Kennedy-Brannen Funeral Homes Facebook page.
