Omie Anderson

Omie Jean "Sug" Anderson, 76, passed away Sunday, November 18, 2018 at the Griffin House in Claxton surrounded by her family and under the care of Bethany Hospice. She was born in Glennville, January 4, 1942 to Barney and Fannie Wilson Durrence and lived here all of her life. She and her husband, Cecil, owned and operated the 301 Drive-In Restaurant for many years. She was a homemaker, loving caring wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and was a member of Stoney Hill Free Will Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Cecil C. Anderson, brother, Dave Durrence

Grandchildren, Scottie Jenkins (Daniel), Derek Stanfield (Rachel), Adria Smith Schroff (Eric), Andrew Sherrod, Walt Sands, Ashley Sands, Nic Sherrod (Jennie), Nigel Sherrod, Great Grandchildren, Skyler Jenkins, Madison Sherrod, Brodie Sherrod, Morgan Sherrod, Asher Schroff, several nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation will begin at 5:00 PM, Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 pm, Wednesday, November 21, 2018 from Chapel of Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home. Burial will be in Stoney Hill Church Cemetery.
