Oscar Rowe, Jr

Reverend Oscar Rowe Jr., 77 entered his heavenly home Thursday, May 19, 2016 at Memorial Health University Medical Center. He was born December 29, 1938 in Glennville to Oscar and Gladys Mock Rowe and lived here all of his life. He was in the Georgia National Guard for many years and was a barber for over 45 years and owned and operated the The Barber Shop in Glennville. When you came to his shop you got a haircut and was entertained with his stories and jokes. He was a Baptist Minister for over 40 years serving many churches including Birdford Baptist Church, Grace Baptist Church and currently Northside Baptist Church. He enjoyed gospel singing, hunting, fishing, being with family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, E.W. Rowe.

Wife of 53 years: Sherry Howard Rowe of Glennville, GA
Children: Rhonda (Bill) Moore of Live Oak, FL
Angie (Kenny) Edwards of Glennville, GA
Grandchildren: Seth (Audrey) Edwards, Claire (Tyler) Barnard, Caleb and Jacob Edwards
Great Grandson: Rhett Edwards
Great Granddaughter: Rae Edwards
Several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.
Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm, Saturday, May 21, 2016 at Brannen Kenendy Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held 3:00 pm, Sunday, May 22, 2016 at the Chapel of Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home with Rev. Kenny Edwards, Rev. James Bland and Rev. Chris Howard officiating. Burial will be in Grace Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers: DeWayne Howard, Greg Stubbs, Johnny Howard, Shawn Stubbs, Vance Howard, Samuel Hilton, Mike Howard, Kerry Hilton, Grant Hilton, Seth Edwards, Gene Howard.
Honorary Pallbearers will be deacons of Northside Baptist Church.
