Peggy Woods

Peggy M. Woods, 84, passed away Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at her residence surrounded by her family and under the care of Ogeechee Area Hospice. She was born October 13, 1931 to Malcolm Cohen and Louise Dixon and lived in this area most of her life. She worked in retail clothing sales for many years while traveling with her husband while he was in the military. After returning to Glennville she worked with Dream Home Furnishings, Gibson McDonald Furniture and King's of Glennville. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who loved to cook and take care of her family. She and her family were known for decorating their house and yard for Christmas. She also was a judge for many beauty pageants.
She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Robbie Woods; sister, Virginia Cavallaro; brother, Billy Cohen.

Daughter: Pam Brannen of Glennville
Daughter-in-Law: Teresa (Gene) Banks of Glennville
Grandson: Jeremy (Kyleen) Brannen of Glennville
Great-Granddaughter: Kamryn Brannen
Caregivers: Diane Walker and Beth Ray
Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation will begin at 6:00 pm, Thursday, March 10, 2016 at Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 pm from the chapel of Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home. Burial will be private.
