Pelzer "Junior" Wilson

December 4, 1937 — August 18, 2020

Pelzer “Junior” R. Wilson, 82, passed away peacefully Tuesday, August 18, 2020 at his residence surrounded by his family and under the care of Ogeechee Area Hospice. Junior was born December 4, 1937 in Savannah, Georgia to Pelzer and Rose Clifton Wilson and lived there until joining the United States Air Force in 1958, after 22 years of service in the Air Force Junior retired as a declarated Master Sergeant, expert marksman and Vietnam Veteran. He was also retired from civil service at Elmendorf Air Force Base in Anchorage, Alaska, moving to Reidsville in 1994. Junior loved to hunt, fish and attend the Liberty Auction in Pembroke. He was an avid gun collector and was a loving, caring, husband, father and grandfather. Junior was a member and deacon of Pineview Baptist Church.

He is survived by:

Children, Arthur Wilson (Debra) of Anchorage, Alaska
Richard Bland (Sherry)
Larry Bland (Donna)
Cindy Shuman (John)
Glenda Monfils (Mark)
Denise Flowers (Matt) all of Reidsville, Georgia

Brother, Joey Wilson of Savannah, Georgia

Twelve Grandchildren, Fourteen Great Grandchildren and Several Other Relatives also survive.

Due to social distancing guidelines, private funeral services will be held, Friday, August 21, 2020.
