Raymond Nobles

Raymond "Gus" Nobles, 83 passed away Sunday, December 25, 2016 at his residence surrounded by his family and under the care of Heartland Hospice. He was born in Ludowici, GA February 20, 1933 to Raymond E. and Minnie Baxter Nobles living here most of his life. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran and retired after 38 years of service from the Georgia Department of Transportation Enforcement Division with the rank of Captain. He was employed with Morland Altobelli Associates Inc. and served as registrar for many years with Long County. He was a member of Pigott Branch Baptist Church and preceded in death by his parents, wife, Beatrice Hutcheson Nobles, son, Charles Nobles, brother, Cecil Nobles, sisters, Florrie Moody and Freda N. Eaken.
He is survived by, Daughter, Barbara (Robert) Driggers of Ludowici, GA
Grandchildren, Nikki Nobles, Candis (Michael) Polk, Chase (Kylie) Nobles, Brandi (Jamie) Smiley, 8 Great Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation will begin at 6:00 PM, Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM, Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at Pigott Branch Baptist Church. Burial will be in Pigott Branch Church Cemetery with Military Honors.
