Retha Nell Banks Cary, 84, went to her heavenly home Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at Journey-The Griffin House. She was born on August 7, 1936 to James Lehman and Mattie Lee Rolls Barrow and lived in Tattnall County all of her life. Retha Nell worked for the family business, Jim’s Heating and Electric for many years and was later a bailiff with the Tattnall County Sheriff’s Office. She was a member of Glennville United Methodist Church and is preceded in death by her parents, husband, James W. “Jim” Banks and a brother, James L. Barrow.

She is survived by:

Gayle Foskey of Claxton, GA

Brothers, Doyle Barrow (Sarah) of Smyrna, GA
Denver Barrow (Betty) of Glennville, GA
Johnny Barrow (Terri) of Glennville, GA

Sister-in-law, Martha Calloway (Bo) of Pensacola, FL

Three Granddaughters, One Step Granddaughter, Five Great Grandchildren, Several Nieces and Nephews also survive.

Graveside Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, December 19, 2020 at Glennville City Cemetery.

Care and services are entrusted to Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home of Glennville, Georgia.
