Robert Truman Moody, 72, passed away Tues day, April 17, 2018 at his residence surrounded by his family and under the care of Hospice of South Georgia. He was born in the Donald Community of Long County to James Irvin Moody and Katie Johnson Moody and lived there all of his life. He was retired from the construction industry as a painter and was an avid outdoors man who loved to hunt and fish and be with his family. He was known as the mayor of the Donald Community and the Bubble Gum man. He is preceded in death by his parents, six brothers, two sisters and a granddaughter, April Hamilton.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Myria Rogers of Ludowici, GA

Stepchildren, Tony Gaskin, Johnny Gaskin and Cindy Gaskin Woods all of Hinesville, GA
Sixteen Grandchildren, Twenty Six Great Grandchildren, Two Great Great Grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation will begin at 6:00 pm, Thursday, April 19, 2018 at Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 pm, Friday, April 20, 2108 at the Chapel of Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home. Burial will be in Pigott Branch Church Cemetery.
