Rodney Elmo Paul

Rodney Elmo Paul, 75, passed away on November 17, 2024, at Evans Memorial Hospital. He was born on October 30, 1949, in Reidsville, Georgia to Elmo and Dora Alice Smith Paul and lived in this area most of his life. 

Rodney was a proud United States Army Veteran. A dedicated worker, Rodney spent his career in road construction with Dickerson Construction, Shuman Construction, and RB Baker. His work ethic and reliability were a testament to his character and influenced many in his profession.

Outside of work, Rodney found joy in several hobbies. He loved to hunt and fish and he had a passion for drag racing. However, it was his devotion to spending time with his family that brought him the greatest happiness. Rodney's warmth and kindness will be fondly remembered by those who had the privilege of knowing him.

He was a member of Northside Baptist Church and is preceded in death by his parents and a brother-in-law, Vernon Peck.

Rodney is survived by:

Wife of 56 years, Dolores Paul of Glennville, Georgia

Daughter, Lisa Lane (Jim) of Glennville, Georgia

Sister, Martha Peck of Glennville, Georgia

Grandchildren, Joseph Kicklighter of Rockhill, South Carolina
Kendra Kicklighter of Glennville, Georgia
Christoper and Christin Smith of Glennville, Georgia

Three great grandchildren, Emily, Gracie, Jessie and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm, Thursday, November 21, 2024 at Brannen Family Funeral Services. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm, at the chapel of Brannen Family Funeral Services. Burial will follow in Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
