Ronald Gibson

Ronald "Ronnie" Gibson, 71, passed away Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at Ogeechee Area Hospice Inpatient Center in Statesboro. He was born in Butler, Alabama on September 26, 1945 to Bryant and Eulalie Gibson. He was a U.S. Army Veteran serving in Vietnam, Germany, France and Egypt where he received numerous awards to include a Purple Heart. He retired after 20 years of service in the military and was employed with Civil Service at Ft. Stewart for many years. He enjoyed being with his friends and family.

Niki Anderson of Jesup
India Dixon of Alabama
Sister: Jane (Michael) Perry of Moss Point, Mississippi
Grandchildren: Katey Brantley, Tyler (Kristen) Chancey, Walt Banks, Eben Banks, Lindsey (Josh) Hall, Crystal Yates, Hunter Vaughan, Alexis Willis, Macy Anderson and Kassie Anderson. A niece and two nephews also survive.
Visitation will begin at 6:00 pm, Thursday, August 10, 2017 at Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Friday, August 11, 2017 at the chapel of Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home with Rev. David Daus officiating. Burial will be in Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery with Military Honors.
Pallbearers: Walt Banks, Eben Banks, Hunter Vaughan and Tyler Chancey.
Remembrances to: Ogeechee Area Hospice, Post Office Box 531, Statesboro, GA 30459.
