Ronnie Eugene Shoemaker, 61, passed away on October 26, 2023, at his residence in Effingham County. He was born in Glennville, Georgia, to Carl Eugene and Carolyn Weathers Shoemaker on October 29, 1961 and was a 1979 graduate of Glennville High School.
Ronnie was a well-respected professional who dedicated his skills and talents to various companies throughout his career. He spent several years employed with Union Camp Corporation and International Paper before finding his true calling at Nature's Choice as the procurement officer, where he faithfully served for 15 years. Ronnie's commitment to his work was unwavering, and he left an indelible mark on those around him.
Beyond his work life, Ronnie had hobbies that brought him immense joy. In nature and forestry, he found peace and admiration for God's creation.
Ronnie was also proud of his organization memberships and brotherhood. He was not only a member but served as a past master of the Richard T. Turner A.M. Lodge in Bloomingdale and was also a respected member of the Philadelphia Lodge #73 A.M. in Glennville. Additionally, Ronnie was a member of the Alee Shrine Temple in Savannah.
Ronnie was of the Baptist faith and is preceded in death by his father and brother, Randy Shoemaker.
He is survived by:
Mother, Carolyn Shoemaker of Glennville, Georgia
Brother, John Shoemaker of Glennville, Georgia
Niece, Mollie Bailey (Kenneth) of Jackson, North Carolina
Nephew, Randall Shoemaker (Chloe) of New Orleans, Louisiana
Several other relatives and friends also survive.
Visitation will be held at 1:00 pm, Sunday, October 29, 2023 at Brannen Family Funeral Services. Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 pm, Sunday, October 29, 2023 at the chapel Brannen Family Funeral Services with Elder Tom Sollosi. Burial will follow in the Glennville City Cemetery with Masonic Rites.
