Ronnie D. Strickland

Ronnie D. Strickland, 75, passed away peacefully on April 8, 2026, at Memorial Health University Medical Center. Born on May 1, 1950, to Henry Slater Strickland and Sally Mae Flowers Strickland, Ronnie’s life was marked by hard work, warmth, and an unmistakable spirit of camaraderie.

Throughout his working life, Ronnie devoted himself to the craft of sheet metal work, contributing his skills to numerous establishments over the years, including Terrell's Heating and Air. His commitment to his trade was evident in the care and expertise he brought to every project.

Ronnie was not only known for his professional talents but also for his friendly and approachable nature. He was truly a friend to all who had the privilege of knowing him. Whether through a casual conversation or a helping hand, he made those around him feel valued and respected.

Outside of work, Ronnie cherished his time tinkering with old cars, finding joy in the challenge and satisfaction of breathing new life into vehicles. Those who knew him often saw him delighting in simple pleasures, including "loafing", a testament to his easygoing and thoughtful presence.

He is preceded in death by his parents, sister, Edna Jo Romano, and brother, Lewis Swope.

Arlene Logan (Michael) of Ft. Smith, Arkansas
Slater Strickland (Allison) of Glennville, Georgia

Brother, Olin "Spider" Strickland of Glennville, Georgia

Grandchildren, Ahlaina, Waylon, River Lynn, Blakely, Wrenley, Oaklyn

Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm, Friday, April 10, 2026 at Brannen Family Funeral Services, Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, April 10, 2026 at the chapel of Brannen Family Funeral Services. Burial will follow in Glennville City Cemetery.
