Sarah Frances Nease, 82, passed away on April 29, 2026, at her residence. She was born on October 1, 1943, in Glennville, Georgia to Hamilton Clark and Willie Tapley Evans and lived her most of her life.
Sarah was known to many as a dedicated seamstress, a role through which she displayed not only remarkable skill but also an unwavering commitment to her craft. Her employment at Ft Stewart reflected her strong work ethic and her ability to balance professional responsibilities with her cherished role as a homemaker. Beyond her career, Sarah found joy in an array of hobbies that spoke to her vibrant spirit and gentle nature. She was an avid reader. The art of sewing and crocheting was both a passion and a creative outlet, enabling her to share warmth and beauty with those around her. She was also a lover of fishing, embracing quiet moments in nature, and enjoyed the community spirit found in yard sales.
Most dear to Sarah was her role as a loving mother and grandmother. Those who knew her remember her as a source of unconditional love and support—a nurturing presence whose influence extended far beyond the bounds of family into the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
She is preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Cindy Driggers Crummey.
