Sgt Marbutt

SGT. John K. Marbutt , 34, entered his heavenly home on Friday, October 21, 2016 at his home in Fort Meade Maryland. He was born in Haleyville, Alabama on April 05,1982 to Keith and Uni Marbutt. He was a Graduate of Holly Area High School in Holly Michigan. He served 8 years in the United States Army, to include one overseas tour in Iraqi as a Combat Engineer for Echo Company, 1st Battalion, 64th Armored Regiment. Later changing his MOS to 68S (Preventive Medicine Specialist). He was stationed at Fort Meade, Maryland where he was the Command Preventive Medicine NCO assigned as the Health Risk Management Division NCOIC. John served his country with great pride and dignity. He had a kind gentle heart and was loved by everyone. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time at the river. He was a man of many trades and was always willing to help others.
He is survived by his loving wife, Kris Marbutt of Fort Meade Maryland. He has two children, Riley E. Marbutt and Laney C. Marbutt of Fenton, Michigan, two stepchildren, Jamie Scarbrough, and Kaley Roland both of Atlanta Georgia, and one granddaughter, Mia Grace Lanier of Atlanta. Parents, Keith and Uni Marbutt of Holley, Michigan. One sister, Kit Marbutt of Holly, Michigan. His warm heart and beautiful smile will be cherished and missed forever.
Family will receive Friends from 1:00 P.M until 2:45 P.M,Monday October 31, at Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home in Glennville, Georgia. Burial will follow at 3:00 P.M the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery with Full Military Honors.
