Steven Ray Carter, 56, passed away at his residence on April 28, 2026. He was born on October 15, 1969, in Claxton, Georgia, to N. Ronald Carter and Sharon Wilson Storm.
Steven was a dedicated truck driver for McLendon Enterprises. He was a man of many passions and deep affections. Among his greatest joys was spending time with his nieces and nephews, whom he loved dearly. His warm and caring nature touched the lives of those close to him. He found solace and happiness in fishing, a pastime that brought him peace and connection to nature. Additionally, he had a keen interest in collecting model cars, cherishing each piece as a part of his personal treasure. By his side through life's journeys was his faithful canine companion, Peewee, whose steadfast loyalty brought comfort and companionship.
Steven is preceded in death by his father, grandparents and two uncles.
He is survived by:

A graveside service to honor Steven’s life will take place on Friday, May 1, 2026, at 11:00 am at Old Anderson Church Cemetery.
