Steven Griffee

Steven Marshall Griffee, 53, passed away Thursday, September 23, 2021. He was born May 25, 1968 in Raceland, Louisiana, growing up in Branford, Florida and living in this area most of his adult life. Steve has been an active member of the Georgia National Guard, Fox Company 148 FSC of Savannah since 1991, serving a tour in Iraq and Afghanistan and recently being promoted to Chief Warrant Officer 2. He was also employed with MATES/CSMS South since 1992 and was the electronic supervisor. Steve was an avid fisherman that enjoyed spending time at the coast, hunting and was a member of the Ohoopee Hunting Club.

He is survived by:

Wife, Monica Griffee of Glennville, Georgia

Daughter, Brittany Winchell (DJ) of Fort Bragg, North Carolina

Step-Son, Dalton Howard of Glennville, Georgia

Grandchildren, Caleb, Abby and Eli Winchell

Siblings, Teena Chabot (Ray) of Geneva, Ohio
Michelle Griffee (Deno) of Daisy, Georgia
Stacey Griffee (Chad) of Del Ray Beach, Florida
Richard Griffee, Jr. of Oklahoma
Gregory Griffee of Tallahassee, Florida
Bonnie Andrews (Rick) of Reidsville, Georgia
Danny Holliday (Patsy) of Glennville, Georgia
Eddie Holliday of Glennville, Georgia

Several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 am, Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held 12:00 noon Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at the chapel of Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home with full military honors. Burial will be in Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery.

Social distancing of three feet due to Covid 19 will be enforced and masks are asked to be worn on all services.
