Sybil McLeod Maund, 79, passed away on February 7, 2026, at her residence. She was born on January 11, 1947, in Reidsville, Georgia to George and Leila Bland McLeod.
Sybil dedicated her professional life to organizing memorable events as an Event Coordinator for the Reynolds Mansion on Sapelo Island. Her exceptional talents in fostering connections and creating joyous experiences made her a cherished figure among those who had the pleasure to work with her.
Sybil was well-known for her warm and nurturing personality. She consistently put the needs of others before her own, embodying kindness in every interaction. Her approach to life was not only reflected in her career but also permeated her personal relationships, making her a beloved family member and friend.
In her spare time, Sybil embraced a variety of hobbies and interests. She found joy in fishing, cooking, and traveling, often seeking new adventures that would allow her to create lasting memories with her family. Those who had the privilege of being close to her will fondly remember the delicious meals she prepared, the laughter shared during fishing trips, and her adventurous spirit when exploring new destinations.
Sybil leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness, enriching the lives of those around her. Her impact will be felt for years to come.
She is preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Jeanette McLeod, Tammy Rogers, nephew, Jimmy Sikes, daughter, Jane Mobley, son, Tracy Sands and husband, James Maund.

Grandchildren, Tyler Sands, Matthew Sands, Megan Anderson (Jeremy), Jessica Eubanks (Steve)
Three great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 am, Monday, February 9, 2026, at Brannen Family Funeral Services. Funeral Services to be held at 11:00 am, Monday, February 9, 2026, at the chapel of Brannen Family Funeral Services. Burial will follow in Pineview Church Cemetery.
