Talmadge Hugh Ray, 69, died on Monday, June 6, 2016 at Evans Memorial Hospital. He was born on June 16, 1946 to Hugh Ellis Ray and Sue Nell Barnard and lived in this area all of his life. He retired as a supervisor at Duramatic Products and was an avid golfer, loved rescuing and restoring antiques and cooking for his family. His grandchildren were the highlight of his life. Talmadge was a member of First Christian Church.
He is predeceased by his parents and a son, David Ray.
Survivors include:
Children: Cora J. Sapp and Craig of Round O, SC
Daniel Ray and Cindy of Glennville, GA
Brothers: Richard Ray of Glennville, GA
Wade Ray and Cheryl of Walterboro, SC
Grandchildren: Tiffany Baker, Jessica Bell, Tylor Sapp, Tony Sapp and Kaci Sapp
Great-Grandchildren: Latrell, Emanuel, Makenzy, Kenny, Warren, Bryan and Grayson
Many aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.
Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm, Thursday, June 9, 2016 at Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home. Memorial funeral services will follow at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home with Rev. Tommy Ray and Rev. Martin Bender officiating. Burial will be private.
Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home, is in charge of the arrangements.
