Vickie Ray Whiddon, 64, passed away peacefully on June 14, 2026, at her residence. Born on March 18, 1962, in Jesup, Georgia, to Howard and Willene Roberson Ray, Vickie led a life marked by a profound love for those around her.

Vickie graduated from Glennville High School in 1980 and furthered her education at Waycross Ware Tech and Brewton Parker College. Throughout the years, she held multiple jobs, balancing her professional responsibilities with the demands and joys of homemaking. Her warmth and willingness to help everyone who crossed her path were hallmarks of her character, endearing her to friends and family alike.

An enthusiastic lover of the outdoors, Vickie found great pleasure in fishing and cherished the moments spent with her family, whom she always placed at the center of her life. 

Vickie is preceded in death by her parents and a nephew Cameron Ray.

She is survived by: Son, Kevin Howard; brothers, Hal Ray and Rodney "Bob" Ray (Teressa); grandchildren, Drake Howard (Alexis), Mason Howard, Colton Howard, Kylie Howard; great grandchildren, Alyssa Howard and Aleigha Howard.

A graveside service in honor of Vickie's life will be held at 11:00 am, at Watermelon Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, on Thursday, June 18, 2026.
