Walter Myers Jr.

Walter Franklin Myers Jr. 73 passed away Monday, November 6, 2017 at his residence. He was born in Baltimore, Maryland, December 27, 1944 to Walter Franklin and Anna Smith Myers. He served his country in the US Air Force retiring as a Master Sergeant after 20 years of service. He served in Korea and Vietnam receiving numerous awards and commendations to include, Air Force Longevity Service Ribbon with four Oak leaf Clusters, Vietnam Service Medal, Air Force Outstanding Unit Award, Korean Presidential Unit Citation and Air Force Commendation Medal. He was retired from General Electric Corporation and was a member of the V.F.W and American Legion Post Number 164.
He is survived by, Wife, Barbara Myers of Ludowici, Georgia
Children, Timi Byfield of San Bernardino, California
Walter F. Myers III of Moorpark, California
Gary F. Myers of Stone Ridge, Virginia
Sister, Jean Fleming of Montrose, Colorado
Six Grandchildren several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral Services will be held 10:00 AM, Monday, November 20, 2017 at Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery with Full Military Honors.
