Wanda Berry

Wanda Dawn Riffle Berry, 80, of Glennville, GA passed away peacefully on June 22, 2020, with her loving family by her side.

Wanda was born at midnight on November 28, 1939 to the late Bruce Riffle and Nellie Rowan in Buchannon, WV. At the age of 19, she met Robert Berry at Eddie’s Grill in Genva-on-the-Lake, OH. They married later that year in  Winchester, VA. The couple settled in Geneva, OH and raised six children there. Wanda was predeceased by her parents and four siblings: Dana, Lydia, and Madeline Currence and Evelyn Griffee Simms. She is survived by her children: Randall (Demi) Berry of Oro Valley, AZ, Becci (Charlie) Curry of Kingsland, GA, Robee (Amy) Berry of Tampa, FL, Angie (Chad) Myers of Geneva, OH, David Berry of Cleveland, OH, and Rehgina (Patrick) DeLoach of Glenville, GA. She was “Nana”, “Grandma”, and “Mama Wanda” to her 13 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She was “Aunt Wanda” to numerous nieces and nephews.

Wanda enjoyed being at home and taking care of her family. She loved to cook, bake, sew and provide a loving home for her children. She supported her children in their academic and athletic endevours and was their biggest fan. An accomplished artist, she excelled at most all arts and crafts, including painting and photography. She also loved music and literature. She supported her husband as vice president of Lake Shore Fur Farms Quality Mink Ranch, and even hunted bear along side him in Canada. She prided herself as a world traveler in her senior years, visiting most states in the US and Puerto Rico, Castles and landmarks of Germany and the Ancient Wonders of China.

A private memorial service will be held by her children at a later date.
