William L. Cox, 66, died Friday, October 10, 2014 at Candler Hospital in Savannah. Bill was born in Decatur Illinois on September 5, 1948. He later graduated from Eisenhower High School. Bill married Karen Cox on October 30, 1970, the couple was married 43 years. He was an 18 year retired U.S. Army veteran, a police officer, Chaplain for the Glennville Fire Department and enjoyed flying. He also served as an associate pastor at the Glennville Church of God where he enjoyed his ministerial work.

Children:Brien E. Cox of Memphis, Tennessee
William Lee (Leila) Cox of Glennville
Sister:Linda Calor of Little Rock, Arkansas
Brother:David A. Cox of Decatur, Illinois
Granddaughter Abbigale Leah Cox and other family and friends also survive.
Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm, Sunday, October 12, 2014 at Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home in Glennville. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 am Monday, October 13, 2014 at Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home Glennville Chapel with Rev. William Prince and Rev. Jeff Horne officiating. Burial will follow in Glennville Memorial Gardens with full Military Honors.
