William Thompson

William H. Thompson, 66, passed away Sunday, September 28, 2014 at Ogeechee Area Hospice Inpatient Center. He was born January 27, 1948 in Glennville, Georgia to Henry Ted and Bertha Mae Driggers Thompson and lived in Glennville and Savannah most of his life. He was a self-employed truck driver and retired after 39 years. He owned the Turkey's Lounge and Restaurant in Savannah for many years. He loved to fish and be around people. He was a loving and caring husband, father and grandfather. He was a member of Smyrna Baptist Church.

28 Grandchildren, 1 Granddog, several nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation will begin at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7:30 pm from the chapel of Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home. Burial will be private at a later date.
